Cadence Expands Support for Enterprise Web-based Design Environments

2001 IP/SoC Conference -- Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NYSE:CDN),
the world's leading supplier of electronic design products and
services, today introduced the new Cadence IPinfraNET system, an
enhanced version of its IP management system which manages, stores,
and distributes semiconductor intellectual property (IP) over the
Internet. With this release, Cadence® customers have access to new,
modular software offerings that enable them to install and configure
the IP management system to meet their particular design environment
requirements. Cadence is also offering a Quickstart service providing
installation configuration and training.

The Cadence IPinfraNET base system is available for immediate
delivery. Pricing starts at $500,000 depending on the final
configuration of the system and site application servers, and the
number of client users. The Quickstart Service starts at $250,000.
Database and application software runs on Solaris and HPUX, and the PC
or UNIX user client requires only a Netscape browser. For information
